WAYNE OLSON has made a successful career of helping families, individuals and investors buy and sell real estate in virtually every sector of the Portland metropolitan region. Having a background in the bio pharmaceutical industry, Wayne brings a highly analytical approach to buying and selling real estate, which has translated into an exceptionally effective process for shepherding homeowners through the oftentimes strenuous journey of selling their homes. But that analytical approach begins only after fully understanding the personal needs of his clients.

What Wayne’s clients appreciate most about working with him is the level of detail, thoughtfulness and excellence that goes into every phase of working with them, from the initial home selling consultation, through preparing the home for sale and being on market, to negotiating with buyers, through escrow and to closing. Having not purchased a home in 30 years we were especially impressed with Wayne's knowledge of inspections and helping us set those up with dependable contractors to do that.

We were especially impressed with Wayne's communications with us. He kept us up to date on everything that needed to be done, and the progress as we went along. While very professional all along, it was enjoyable that Wayne would keep things light when things were tense. Since it had been so long since we last bought a home we were ignorant of the processes, Wayne's expertise was invaluable, and his willingness to laugh when we needed it was too!

I believe this was not an easy sale. Harder even than the purchase of our ranch on Trout Creek. I wish I had Wayne on that one! Thing is, anyone can perform when it is easy. Deciding on purchasing a home from out of state was an exciting, yet scary thought for us. The yard sign was classy, professional, and still eye-catching in it's design. No glaring colors or head shots. Also the photography, brochures, and online presentation made our home look colorful and inviting. Beautiful.

Most importantly was the clever plan for selling quickly and at a great price. He adapted to the action and we couldn't ask for a better result.

I'm not normally one to rank everything as excellent, but Wayne really was excellent in every category you could list.

In the sale of our existing home, Wayne consulted with us several months before we actually listed. He helped us figure out timing and an initial strategy at that point. When we were ready to list, he came back by and helped us by creating a punch list of things to do to prepare the property. He also came up with a strategy that resulted in a sale price above asking (making him two for two in home sales over asking for us). He was amazing in helping to coordinate with the buyers and getting everything ready.

When we bought our new house, Wayne was available when we needed him and was willing to go around to many houses to find the right one. He also had a great attitude and we enjoyed his occasional subtle quip. When it came time to make an offer, we were in a bidding situation and Wayne stayed calm and helped us make the right decision for our family by offering sound, unemotional advice. We definitely saved money on the purchase thanks to him! Plus, he's really knowledgeable about houses, costs, and even warranties--the stuff you don't think to remember but you're so glad you have someone like him to help you with!
